As we approach the end of 2024, it feels natural to pause for a moment and reflect on the year that has passed. For us at McBikeWorld, it has been a year filled with growth and new connections from many parts of the world. We are truly grateful to all of you who have followed us, read our blogs, and shared your passion for motorcycles.

Finland is perhaps best known for its stunning landscapes, tranquil winter forests, and, of course, Santa Claus! Here in the happiest country in the world, Christmas is celebrated with hearts full of joy and warmth. Did you know that the real Santa Claus actually lives in the town of Rovaniemi in northern Finland, right on the Arctic Circle? There, he and his elves are busy preparing for the big night! 😊

Where I live, by a calm lake surrounded by snow-covered trees, we currently have about 30 cm (12 in) of snow, and the temperature is around -10 °C (14 °F). On the frozen lake, snowmobiles (like motorcycles taking a well-deserved winter break) race around, kicking up snow in their wake. I haven't taken the snowmobile out yet this year, but I will soon. 

Today, on the day of the winter solstice (shortest day of the whole year), the sun was up for a short time before disappearing below the horizon again. Days like these remind us how precious light is - both what nature provides and what we spread to each other.

For my family, Christmas is about spending time with relatives, enjoying traditional Finnish food, and creating lasting memories together. On Christmas Eve, we light up our windows with string lights, enjoy a Christmas sauna (an essential part of Finnish traditions), and perhaps take a walk in the sparkling winter landscape before sitting down for a festive meal. The simplicity of Christmas, the silence, and the presence of nature make this time of year magical.

As we look forward to 2025, I hope the year will bring new adventures, exciting projects, and even more opportunities to enjoy the #freedom of motorcycling#. For McBikeWorld, we’re excited to continue growing and sharing our passion for safe and enjoyable motorcycle riding with all of you.
